Plastic Herverwerking Brabant onderdeel Van Gansewinkel
Afvaldienstverlener Van Gansewinkel versterkt haar positie op de recyclingmarkt door de overname van het Waalwijkse bedrijf Plastic Herverwerking Brabant (PHB). PHB staat in voor de recycling van verschillende, al dan niet verontreinigde, kunststofstromen. Ook haar zusterbedrijf Envirotec, dat recyclinginstallaties verkoopt en adviezen over kunststofrecycling geeft, is door Van Gansewinkel overgenomen.

ISO certificering vernieuwd!
In december 2005 ontving PHB van Quality Masters haar nieuwe ISO certificeringen:
ISO 14001 : 2004
ISO 9001 : 2000
TU Delft bezoekt PHB
Elk jaar houdt PHB open dag voor verschillende Nederlandse onderwijsinstellingen. Mochten we in 2004 de Tilburgse Fontys Hogeschool begroeten, dit jaar was was de TU uit Delft aan de beurt.
The waste question
Michael Laurier (left) and Rien Driessen were the speakers invited to address the Worshipful Company of Horners at this year's Ralph Anderson Memorial Lecture, titled "How can we cope with plastics waste?". In the prestigious surroundings of London's Royal Institution, Laurier explained the advantages of oxobiodegradable additives sold by his company, Symphony Plastic Technologies, in reducing the environmental impact of plastic waste.
Driessen gave a complementary speech on plastics recycling through a presentation on his company, Netherlands-based recycler Plastic Herverwerking Brabant. The topics prompted some lively questions and much discussion over wine and supper. In the midst of many diverse opinions, the audience at least left with the impression that the plastics industry was taking its environmental issues seriously!
